Happy Birthday Neha!!!
Hope you like your blog. :) (Start reading from the bottom) -
Bring It On
You know, despite all the slip ups and bangups...oh and..cracks in the pavement, and bone breaks...and toe stubs..... I've gotta say that they were not all OUR fault. The world is quite a dangerous place these days. Take Vegas at New Years for example. Sometimes a little toe trauma is bound to happen when you're running from one end of the strip to the other, dodging the masses! At least that night we were in good company, there were definitely other musket toesies around to share in our pain. And come on... .what do you expect to happen when you are heading out for the night to do a little polka polka, strap on the strappy dancing shoes (which do flatter all ten of us quite nicely I should say!) but then have to spend your night running away from funny little brown people who just want to say "Hallo! Hallo! Hallo!" Seriously...those toes shoulda kept walking the other direction! Oh its true....we've definitely gotten ourselves outta some eh... situations here and there - quick moving toesies we are! And sure..maybe we've had more than our own share of stubs in the past. But then again, we were willing to take that risk for the sake of good interior design.... I mean come on - a beautiful crate and bareel bed is worth a few stubs every now and again, as long as its followed by the proper expletive, and even if its on the same leg of the bed, at various ungodly times of the night, and under different shades of tipsiness. But despite all this....no matter what, at least we know how to stay in style! Did you see our BLING! Oh yea!!! How many other toesies do you know who, from their high school days onwards, have been constantly adorned?? We sure know how to accessorize...whether its waves from Hawaii or a new style, we've always got the best bling around. And those colors!! We hardly ever face the world naked, but enrobed in some glistening, lovely new shade of polish! And after a long night of vegas bachelorette partying (we can't wait for our turn!) we've even enjoyed a nice hot soak from time to time - bathtub style! So you see...looking back on our 27 years (happy birthday to us!, happy birthday to us!), we think we've got the best of both worlds...all kinds of adventures, lotsa stories, a few scrapes here and there.... but TLC all the way! So you know what we say??Bring it on world, we're ready for the next 27!! -
So Excited
Guess what? It's my birthday today! But that's not why I'm excited. So, I was snooping through my fiancee's stuff to try to figure out what birthday present he was going to give me. And you'll never believe what I found in one of his running magazines. I took a picture of it.
That's right! Toe caps! He's getting me toe caps! I'm so excited. Now my 10 little piggies will be safe forevaaaaaaah!!! Ooooooh! I can't wait! I must go to sleep NOW so tomorrow will come faster! Good night, world!

It's True
My toe don't lie (see below). Indeed, it all did go down at an innocent picnic in a park. I sure broke my poor baby as I was going for a frisbee. Had no idea where the grass ended and the pavement started. My toe had to learn all about this delineation the hard way. Stupid frisbee.

The Toe Speaks!
"Wow...What a month this has been! It was a really tough time for thefamily but I'm happy to let you know that we're all fine now, minusmy Dad and Uncle's bald pates
It all began very well. We were all taking a trip...to Peru! We, isthe 'Toe Family': my Dad (Mr Lt Big Toe), mom, 2 sisters, and my UncleRt Big, aunt and their 3 kids. Obviously we were all very excited! Wehad already been warned about the hills leading to 'Machu Pichu and had even rented two really sturdy vehicles, the 2005 'Hiking Shoes'. Itwas only much later that we found out that the vehicles were hardly assafe and sturdy as the adverts claimed them to be
So we began our journey, the first 2 days went quite well. Ourvehicles made the ride less bumpy and we had this awesome heatingsystem called the sock that kept us warm. On the third day however webegan to go downhill and that's when the safety of our 'hiking shoes'was tested.. It started off as little jerks which we blamed on thebumpy roads but as we kept moving further the suspension seemed to begetting worse! And finally it happened, both our vehicles had startedskidding, the brakes seemed to be failing. my dad decided it was timeto turn off the engine.. it was the only way to stop... Bam! My Dad andUncle Rt hit the windshield... head on! For a second it hurt really badbut soon they pain had reduced to a slight headache, they dismissedit, blaming it on the altitude! The ride continued to be bumpy thoughand by the end of the day, the headache had gotten really bad. Theyalso noticed their skin was beginning to look weird and they werebleeding at the scalp! We decided to call it a day and retreated to ourtents. We tried looking around for first aid, but there seemed to benone. Finally we went to bed hoping that rest would be the solution.Dad and Uncle Rt did feel a little better the next day, but the steepdownhills didn't help them. They were however determined to get us allto the top of Machu Pichu and so we did. The view from the top was justbreathtaking! Soon it was time to head back. The constant bumpy rideshad taken a toll on Dad and my uncle and by the end of the week, theyboth looked pretty beat.
We got back home after a wonderful trip and Dad decided to go tothe ER. The doctor their told them not to worry and that they wouldfeel much better once they had shed their entire hairpiece. "The onlything you need to worry about Mr. Toe, is the temporary tell-talebaldness!" he joked. The only advice given was for all of us to travelwith our car's top down for a while.
Soon my dad and uncle recovered and their hairpieces fell off (theylook quite funny, all bald
).
My mom decided we should celebrate andwe went to the park for a picnic. It was a glorious sunny morning andwe decided to engage ourselves in a game of Frisbee. And that's when ithappened. I saw the Frisbee coming to me, I ran for it, dived, almostthere and just then my sister ran into me... missed it! I went crashingto the ground and threw my back! I thought I had broken it, but luckilya week's immobilization would help the back recover, the doctor toldme. However I had to remain in this really tight, ugly strait jacketfor a week! My sister felt sorry for me and offered to wear oneherself. And so we spent the rest of the week, wrapped around in thesilly jacket.By the end of the week I was fine. My back does hurt a little every now and then, but mostly its fine!
So thus came to an end a really eventful month! When I was tellingthis story to my friends at school, they suggested I should start ablog for my family. I thought, why not.. and thus came into existencethe "ToeBlog". Thats all from me for now.. Later.."- Life from the perspective of a toe
